The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
