The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
