The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
