The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
