The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
