Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
