The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
