Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
