The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
