The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
