The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and so am I: 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
