The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
