The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The piercing star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
