The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
