Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is no joke. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
