The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
