The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
