Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is no joke. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
