Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
