The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
