The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 - The piercing Star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
