The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
