The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
