The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
