The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
