The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
