The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
