The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
