Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
