The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
