The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is no merriment. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
