Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
