The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
