The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
