Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
