The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
