The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
