The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
