The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
