The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
