Al-A'alaa

The All High (Al-A'alaa)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19

True are the words of God the Almighty.
