The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
