The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
