The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
