The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
