The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
