Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
