The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
