The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
