The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
